tetys GmbH & Co. KG continues to grow and takes over the MES business of Kistler Aachen GmbH
Press release- Aachen, December 6, 2021
On January 1, 2022, Aachen-based tetys GmbH & Co. KG will take over the MES business of Kistler Aachen GmbH, thereby continuing its growth. With the takeover of the MES business, the two locations will be merged and will now operate under the umbrella of tetys in Kackertstraße in Aachen. The business is now to be further expanded together with current and other potential customers. The existing services will remain in place for customers and partners.
Kistler Aachen GmbH was acquired from the former IOS GmbH into the Kistler Group in 2018 and operated as a competence center for production control and management systems. The acquisition of the MES business fits in well with tetys, which emerged from the Aachen-based companies GRP and FLS at the beginning of 2021 and has been a specialist in the digitalization of the store floor ever since.
The tetys system enables manufacturing companies to adapt to new boundary conditions with a high degree of dynamism and flexibility and to communicate the changed planning down to the plant level and to each individual machine within minutes. It combines detailed planning, MES, PDA, production-related quality assurance, materials management and all other work areas relating to production in a standardized, integrated system.
tetys' managing partner Janina Keuters comments: "We have experienced a lot in this first financial year as tetys and are looking forward to taking on new challenges with this growth. We believe in a digital future in manufacturing, for which the intelligent use of IT solutions is a key success factor. This also convinces our customers, as the demand for digitalization solutions continues to rise."
